Downloading attachments in Gmail which are blocked

I came across this issue when downloading a Java project for my bro. The project was sent to me by a friend of mine but since Gmail blocks unsafe attachments I had no option but to take a different approach to download the attachment.

The process is quite simple :

Got to the link - https://gist.github.com/stefansundin/a99bbfb6cda873d14fd2 (checkout the python script in a local folder)

Now open the mail which has the blocked attachment. On the right upper side of the mail you will find an arrow, which on clicking will give you following options,

This will open up something like this,

Click on the "Download Original" link and save the output to the same folder where the python script is saved.

The last step is to run the Python script and you are good to go ;)
